E-SALES INVESTS IN NETWORK SEGMENTATION

Extending Performance and Data Security

NETWORK SEGMENTATION

NETWORK ORGANIZATION

In the e-Sales workflows, a company that specializes in intra-company process integration and communication, network organization makes all the difference when it comes to directing customer data to the right service line.

It was precisely to eliminate noise in the communication between the services lines, avoiding to cross data in a conflicting way, that the company invested in its network environment segmentation.

In order to execute this project, the company hired the Nap IT team, whose first challenge was to determine which segmentation should be applied. The solution was to segment the network to clients already in the Data Center, with separation according to the services used line.

Segmenting networks in e-Sales to raise performance and security levels, help prevent connection and security problems in a more structured way.

TESTIMONIALS

“The project featured the best practices and security configurations recommended by ISOs and network and Internet control standards. These changes were vital to the proper functioning and environmental safety assurance. The segmentation brought improved performance, directly impacting the e-Sales systems functioning and the customers network safety”.
Rudimar Grass, e-Sales Infrastructure Manager
“Segmentation raises the safety level, since each department only sees the devices previously authorized and that compete in its area. With this division, it becomes easier to identify any problems in the network since the analysis is performed in a reduced area”.
Rodrigo Alabarce, Nap IT CEO

VLANS NETWORK SETTINGS

Several adjustments have been made in addition to the implementation of e-Sales legacy solutions to the Switches and the network VLANs setting. The project includes new server creation, Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and connectivity networks, as well as a backbone network.

Segmentation had a direct impact on high system performance and data security, with no flaws in cross-sectoral information exchange. Another benefit was the organization improvement of the connected devices in the network by department, facilitating the problems identification in a structured way.
